New Feature: Azure Bastion via Remote Desktop Protocol

Azure Bastion is a convenient way to access Dispel VDIs because all traffic between the user and the VDI traverses standard HTTP/HTTPS ports. These ports are typically open in customer firewalls to allow internet traffic. However, Bastion's browser-based sessions lack some of the conveniences of Remote Desktop connections like ability to work with more than one display and the ability to easily transfer files between the local system and the remote system.

Azure Bastion supports RDP as a client so that users can take advantage of the benefits of both approaches. In this release, Dispel has extended support for this pattern and will generate remote desktop protocol connection files for VDIs in an Azure Bastion enabled Region. This file can be downloaded from the Connection page in the Dispel Dashboard.
