A high-level overview of the PathFinder mobile app

Pathfinder by Docupath is a mobile capture and upload application available on Android and iOS. It provides a lightweight ingestion path that allows users to photograph documents and submit them directly to their Docupath tenant.


When to Use

  • Field workers capturing documents on-site

  • Remote document submission from mobile devices

  • On-the-go ingestion when desktop access is unavailable


Inputs

  • Camera captures from a mobile device

  • Tenant code (4-digit) + organisation email for authentication

Outputs

  • Documents uploaded to the connected Docupath tenant

  • Uploaded documents appear in Review Screen > Pending tab


Core Functions

  • Camera Capture - photograph documents with flash toggle and preview before confirming

  • My Documents Queue - view pending captures via the gallery icon

  • Single and Batch Upload - select one or multiple documents for upload

  • Auto-Delete on Success - successfully uploaded documents are automatically removed from the device

  • Retain on Failure - failed uploads remain in My Documents for retry

  • Secure Tenant Connection - connect to a Docupath tenant using a 4-digit code, email, and display name

Dependencies

  • Active Docupath tenant with an admin-provided 4-digit tenant code

  • Internet connection for upload

Notes

  • Capture and upload only — no review or processing on the device

  • Reinstalling the app clears the session; re-registration is required

  • Admin must provision and deprovision devices via System Settings
