Integration and Functioning of Edusign on the Dokeos Platform

This tutorial guides you through the steps needed to integrate Edusign into your Dokeos portal and use the attendance tracking tool during your training sessions. Edusign allows you to easily manage learners' electronic signatures to validate their attendance.

Prerequisites

  • Administrator Role: You must have administrator rights to integrate Edusign.

  • Trainer Role: You must have trainer rights to use the attendance tracking feature.

I. Integrating Edusign into Your Dokeos Portal

Step 1: Log into Dokeos

Log into your Dokeos platform as an administrator.

Step 2: Access the options page

  • In the side menu, click on "Settings", then select "Customization".

  • On the Options page, enable the "Activate Edusign Integration" option.

Step 3: Linking with Edusign

  • Fill in the "EDUSIGN URL" and "EDUSIGN SECRET KEY" fields.

  • This information is available on your Edusign portal.

Once these steps are completed, Edusign integration is set up, and you are ready to use the attendance tracking tool.


II. How Edusign Works – Attendance Tracking

Step 1: Log in as a trainer

Log into the Dokeos platform as a trainer.

Step 2: Select a training session

Access a training course that includes a webinar session or an in-person session.

Step 3: Access the session content

On the content page, click "Show sessions" to view available sessions.

Step 4: Register participants

Click "Add participants" and select the learners you wish to enroll in the session.

Step 5: Sync the attendance sheet

Click the "Refresh" button to synchronize the attendance sheet with Edusign.
A green message will confirm the synchronization.

Step 6: Validate attendance

As a trainer, you must check off all present participants to confirm their attendance.

Step 7: Send the signature request

In the "Attendance Sheet" tab, click "Signatures Sheet" to allow learners to electronically sign their attendance.

Step 8: Close the attendance sheet

Once all learners have signed, click "Close the sheet" to finalize attendance tracking.

Then, return to the "Attendance" tab and click "Export report" to obtain a detailed attendance report.
