How to modify portal options?

This tutorial introduces you to the various configuration options available in Dokeos.

Each option is designed to enhance integration with other platforms and tools while improving user management and permissions within your portal.

You will discover the purpose of each feature to better adapt Dokeos to your specific needs.

Accessing the portal options management page

  • Log in to the Portal: Sign in to your Dokeos portal using an administrator account.

  • Access the Settings: In the main menu, click on "Settings".

  • Go to Customization: Select "Customization".

  • Open the Options Tab: Click on the "Options" tab to access your portal settings.

1. Domoscio integration

  • Enables integration between Domoscio and Dokeos.

2. Dendreo integration

  • Facilitates the integration of Dendreo with Dokeos, allowing seamless management of enrollments and participant data between both systems.

3. Granting animation rights to group managers

  • Allows group managers to grade projects in the project modules and manage sessions, whether virtual or in-person.

4. User management by managers

  • Grants managers the ability to invite, modify, delete, and deactivate users, simplifying account administration.

5. User invitations by group managers

  • Allows group managers to directly invite users to join their groups, streamlining the enrollment process for specific groups.

6. Group user management by group managers

  • Authorizes group managers to manage users within their groups, including modifying user information and reassigning roles.

7. Restrict users from changing their email addresses

  • Prevents users from modifying their email addresses, reinforcing data security and contact integrity.

8. Enable private messaging

  • Allows participants to contact trainers directly via private messaging, enhancing communication and personalized support.

Note:

  • It is recommended to disable password changes for participants when integrating with Dendreo, to avoid authentication issues.

  • A participant can only contact a trainer within the framework of a course they are enrolled in.

9. Edusign integration for electronic signatures

  • Integrates the Edusign tool for electronic document signing, enabling digital signatures for both virtual and in-person sessions.

10. Enable LTI

  • Allows Dokeos to integrate with other systems via the LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) standard, facilitating data exchange and connectivity between different learning platforms.

11. Ypareo integration

  • Enables integration with Ypareo, requiring the configuration of the URL and secret key to ensure smooth data synchronization between systems.
