In this tutorial, you will learn how to create and configure a "Project" (or "Assignment") module within a Course on Dokeos. Follow the steps below to create and set up a project module, as well as manage Learner submissions.
Step 1: Access the project creation Tool
After creating your Course, click on the "Project" option to open the project module creation tool.
Your Project module will now appear in the list of modules for the Course.
Step 2: Configure the project module
Click on "Configure Module" to start setting it up.
Enter the title of your Project module in the provided field.
Set the submission deadline for the Learner to submit their Project.
Assign a duration to the Project if needed.
Write the instructions for the Project, explaining the expectations or guidelines.
Step 3: Assign skills and manage trainers
You can assign relevant skills to the Project at this step.
Click on "+" to add the Trainers you want to associate with the Project.
Important:
You can only select Trainers who have already been designated as Trainers for the Course. These Trainers will have the ability to grade the Project.
You are the default Trainer.
If you want to add more Trainers, click on the "+".
Once the Trainers are added, click on "Validate."
Step 4: Additional settings
You can choose whether the Project results will count towards the overall Course grade.
You can also decide whether the Learner can continue the Course without submitting the Project.
Information:
This option can be used in a linear Course structure, allowing Learners to proceed without waiting for the Trainer’s feedback on the Project.
3. You can also add support materials to help Learners complete their Project. Click on "Add Document":
Click on "Choose" to select a file from your computer.
If you want to delete a selected file, click on the trash can icon next to the document.
Step 5: Save and validate
Once all configurations are complete, click on "Validate" to save the changes.
Delete the Project Module:
If you need to delete the module, click on the trash can icon next to the module you want to remove.
Information:
Saving is automatic for all actions except configuration.
Step 6: Track Project activities
After publishing the Course, you will be able to track the actual progress of the Learners through their Projects. The following indicators will help you assess progress:
The number of uncorrected projects
The number of corrected projects
The number of unsubmitted projects
You have now completed the creation, configuration, and management of your Project module in Dokeos. You are now ready to evaluate and track your Learners’ performance!
