Training modules are essential for structuring learning and organizing content effectively. They can be created before or after a course, depending on pedagogical needs and learning objectives.

Types of modules to create before a course:

  1. Learning Module – Contains the main lessons and educational content learners must follow.

  2. Assessment Module – Used to test acquired knowledge through quizzes, tests, or exams.

  3. SCORM Module – Uses the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) standard to ensure interoperability between e-learning content and platforms. It provides detailed tracking of learner progress.

  4. Survey Module – Gathers feedback or evaluations from learners about the training.

  5. Audit Module

Types of modules to add after a course:

  1. Virtual or In-Person Class – Organizes additional training sessions, either online or face-to-face.

  2. External Project – Integrates external tools and resources using LTI 1.0, enhancing interactivity within the training platform.

  3. LTI Tools (Learning Tools Interoperability) – Adds external tools and resources using LTI 1.3, offering advanced interactivity.

How to add modules after publishing a course?

  1. Access the course – Log in to Dokeos LMS and go to the course you want to modify.

  2. Click the pencil icon – Find the edit icon (pencil) to modify the course.

  3. Go to the "Module" step – Once in edit mode, navigate to the second step, "Module".

  4. Add Modules – Choose from the available list of modules and integrate them into your course.

By following these steps, you can efficiently structure your training and enhance the learning experience.
