Fairtrade coffees stay locked in the catalog until you join the Fairtrade program. After you enroll, those coffees unlock and you can add them to your store.

Cost and what you may print are in Fairtrade program: cost and what you can print.

Where to go

In the Dripshipper app: Products → Products, then open the Fairtrade tab.

The page title is Add Products to Your Store.

What the program is

The Fairtrade program lets you sell our Fairtrade-certified coffees online. Enrollment covers the Fairtrade organization fee and the ongoing monitoring required to sell those coffees.

  • $299 one-time initiation (goes to the Fairtrade organization)

  • $29/month for ongoing monitoring

Paying only one of the two fees does not finish enrollment. The coffees stay locked until both are complete.

How to join

Shopify stores — On the Fairtrade tab, click One-time initiation fee $299. After that completes, click Buy $29/month. Shopify billing opens for each charge.

Dripshipper-hosted stores — Click Pay $299 initiation fee + $29/month (or Buy $29/month if the initiation fee is already done). The charges go to the card on file.

You need a payment method on file before you can enroll.

What unlocks after you join

When enrollment is complete, the join box on the Fairtrade tab goes away. Each Fairtrade coffee shows Add to store + instead of Unlock to add.

After you join, Fairtrade coffees unlock and you can add them to your store.

Fairtrade coffees need a custom label. Add to store takes you to Products → Custom Labels so you can create one. The regular catalog import flow is for non-Fairtrade coffees. That walkthrough is How to add a product to your store.

After you are enrolled

  • Use only the Fairtrade artwork the roaster gives you. Do not download a mark from Google.

  • If you are not in the program, do not say Fairtrade on the bag or the site.

  • You can cancel the monthly subscription later from Settings.
