Scenario

Whenever your customer adds a phone number to the checkout, this feature enables you notify them via text and SMS. This helps the customer stay informed and keep that booking top of mind with you.

Example

Your customer, Joe, books a workshop with you and they add a phone number and email. Joe can now receive an email and an SMS confirmation

πŸ’‘ The phone number comes from a central number by Easy Appointment Booking. The SMS will tell the customer to reach out you by email to get in touch with you.

Add Balance

Load your SMS balance directly from the dashboard at $5, $10, and $20 increments. Standard plans come with $2.50 and Pro with $5 worth of SMS.

πŸ’‘ Each SMS is $0.05 USD for USA / Canada and $0.10 USD for all other countries.

Many SMS providers cap message lengths to 200 characters. If your text message is > 200 characters, it will be sent as multiple messages and additional charges may apply.

Set up notifications

Once you activate SMS for the first time, the event notifications you currently have active will also show for SMS. This can be changed by going to your Event > Notifications section to check or uncheck which notifications you wish to send.

Capturing customer emails and phone number

Go to Settings > Checkout > Customer Contact section to enable email and phone for your customer

Managing SMS bookings

SMS bookings will still appear in your Bookings tab and your Google Calendar. Each booking will now contain a phone number in the Booking view

For skipped checkout bookings, change SMS Default Country Code

Head to Manage Event > Advanced
