easyRates has a feature to customize what shipping methods are displayed at checkout for each product, utilizing product tags. By using this feature, users can create customizations such as, certain products having shipping methods other than EMS or only EMS displayed.
Types of product tags and how to use them
"Limit shipping method tag"
By adding these types of tags, users can limit the display of shipping methods displayed at checkout.
Ex.) If a product is using tag: jp_post_shipping_method_ems and no other tags, the only shipping method displayed at checkout would be EMS.
"Exclude shipping method tag"
By adding this tag to a product, the product will be available for all shipping methods except the shipping method included in the tag.
Ex.) If a product is using tag: jp_post_shipping_method_exclude_ems and no other tags, all shipping methods will be displayed, except for EMS.
* Please keep in mind that the tags will still be affected by easyRates settings, so in the example above, if EMS is turned off in the first place, that would affect the displayed shipping methods as well.
All available product tags
For exclude tags, users simply need to add "_exclude" before the shipping method to a limit tag.

How to use the tags correctly
Shipping method limit tags and how to use them
By adding one of the "Shipping method limit tags" above to a product, users will be able to add shipping method limitations.
Ex.1) When a product with only 1 tag; "jp_post_shipping_method_ems" is added to the cart, customers will only see the shipping method EMS at checkout. (*Only if EMS is turned on in the easyRates settings)
Ex.2) When a product with only 1 tag;"jp_post_shipping_method_ems" and a product without a tag is added to the cart, customers will only see the shipping method EMS at checkout.
Ex.3) When a product with only 1 tag; "jp_post_shipping_method_ems" and another product with only 1 tag "jp_post_shipping_method_sm_surface" is added to the cart, customers will not see any shipping method from easyRates at checkout.
Ex.4) When a product with only 1 tag;"jp_post_shipping_method_ems" and another product with 2 tags "jp_post_shipping_method_sm_surface" + "jp_post_shipping_method_ems" is added to a cart, customers will only see the shipping method EMS at checkout.
Shipping method exclude tags and how to use them
By adding one of the "Shipping method exclude tags" above to a product, users will be able to utilize the limitations.
Ex.1) When a product with only 1 tag; "jp_post_shipping_method_exclude_ems" is added to the cart, customers will see all shipping methods other than EMS. (EMS will be excluded)
Ex.2) When a product with only 1 tag;"jp_post_shipping_method_exclude_ems", and a product with no tags is added to the same cart, customers will see all shipping methods other than EMS.
Ex.3) When a product with only 1 tag; "jp_post_shipping_method_exclude_ems", and another product with only 1 tag; "jp_post_shipping_method_exclude_sm_surface" is added to the same cart, customers will see all shipping methods other than EMS and Small packet - Surface.
Ex.4) When a product with only 1 tag; "jp_post_shipping_method_exclude_ems" and another product with "jp_post_shipping_method_ems" is added to the same cart, customers will see no shipping methods at checkout.
Ex.5) When a product with only 1 tag; "jp_post_shipping_method_exclude_ems" and another product with 1 tag; "jp_post_shipping_method_pp_surface" is added to the same cart, customers will only see the shipping method Post parcel - Surface at checkout.
