When using the Country exceptions setting, please be aware of the "Territories" the country has.
In easyRates, the country exceptions setting can be used for locations that are displayed in the "International mail service availability chart" provided by Japan Post.
However, in Shopify, some of the locations within the chart are not added as an individual country, so users need to be careful when adding country exception settings.
Here is an example of a problem that can occur:
A store sets 10% additional rates for EMS to the U.S., but when an order from Guam came in, the additional 10% was not added
→ This happened due to the store not adding a country exception setting for Guam as well. Since it is a location separated from the U.S. in the Japan Post chart, users need to add an individual exception setting for Guam as well.
Other than the U.S. there are territories for France and other countries as well, so please be aware.
When selecting U.S., or France in the country exception settings, these refer to the homeland / mainlands, so please be sure to add the territories as well.
