Recipe Status Options
Recipes can have three different statuses:
Active - Recipe is available for use at assigned sites
Draft - Recipe is saved but not yet available at any site. Use this for recipes you're still building or testing.
Archive - Recipe is hidden from all sites but can be reactivated later. Perfect for seasonal items or recipes you're temporarily discontinuing.
Changing recipe status
Find the recipe in the Recipes tab
Click Edit
Use the Status dropdown to select Active, Draft, or Archive
Save your changes
When to archive vs. delete
Archive a recipe when:
It's seasonal and you'll use it again (e.g. pumpkin spice latte)
You're temporarily taking it off the menu but might bring it back
You're revising the recipe and want to preserve the original
Delete a recipe when:
It's permanently discontinued and you won't use it again
You created a duplicate by mistake
The recipe should never have been in the system
💡 Tip: When in doubt, archive rather than delete. You can always delete an archived recipe later, but you can't recover a deleted one.
