Recipe Management

Updated this week

Overview

The Recipes tab shows all your recipes with key details: recipe name, sub-recipe status, site assignments, cost, and current status. You can edit individual recipes or make bulk changes across multiple recipes at once.

Viewing Recipes

Site-specific view: Select a specific site from the top left dropdown to see only recipes assigned to that site.

All sites view: Select "All Sites" to see every recipe in your system, including recipes not assigned to any site.

Editing a Recipe

To edit a recipe, find it in the Recipes tab and click the Edit button next to the recipe name. Make your changes and remember to save.

Bulk Editing Multiple Recipes

Save time by editing multiple recipes at once—useful when you need to assign several recipes to a new site or change the status of seasonal items.

How to bulk edit recipes

  1. Use the checkboxes on the left to select the recipes you want to edit

  2. Three options appear in the top right: Assign to Site(s), Change Status, and Delete

To assign recipes to sites:

  1. Click Assign to Site(s)

  2. Click Add

  3. Tick all the sites where these recipes should be available

  4. Save your changes

To change recipe status:

  1. Click Change Status

  2. Select Active, Draft, or Archive

  3. Confirm the change

To delete recipes:

  1. Click Delete

  2. Confirm you want to permanently remove these recipes

⚠️ Warning: Deleted recipes cannot be recovered.

Recipe Status Options

Recipes can have three different statuses:

Active - Recipe is available for use at assigned sites

Draft - Recipe is saved but not yet available at any site. Use this for recipes you're still building or testing.

Archive - Recipe is hidden from all sites but can be reactivated later. Perfect for seasonal items or recipes you're temporarily discontinuing.

Changing recipe status

  1. Find the recipe in the Recipes tab

  2. Click Edit

  3. Use the Status dropdown to select Active, Draft, or Archive

  4. Save your changes

When to archive vs. delete

Archive a recipe when:

  • It's seasonal and you'll use it again (e.g. pumpkin spice latte)

  • You're temporarily taking it off the menu but might bring it back

  • You're revising the recipe and want to preserve the original

Delete a recipe when:

  • It's permanently discontinued and you won't use it again

  • You created a duplicate by mistake

  • The recipe should never have been in the system

💡 Tip: When in doubt, archive rather than delete. You can always delete an archived recipe later, but you can't recover a deleted one.

Exporting Recipe Data
