General structure

Let's have a look at the structure of the virtual classroom.

  1. Unit panel: Click "Change the unit" to open another unit in the virtual classroom.

  2. Lesson and Homework tabs: Select "Homework" if you want to assign or review the exercises for homework purposes.

  3. Tools panel: From top to bottom, you'll find the chat, personal dictionary, English irregular verbs, timer, and interactive whiteboard.

  4. Content area: This is where the exercises are located. To learn more about different types of exercises, how to complete and how to check them, read this article.

  5. Navigation area: Click "Next" to proceed to the next section. Click "←" to return to the previous section. Click "Finish the Section" to mark it as complete.

  6. Video conferencing module. Initiate a video chat with students in the same classroom by clicking the "phone" symbol.

  7. The sections panel. Displays the sections within the current unit. Navigate between them by clicking on the section names.

  8. Online status indicator. Shows the participants currently online and present in the classroom.

  9. Exit button. Click to close the virtual classroom and return to the main page of your account.

"Follow me"

The "Follow me" button will only appear if one or more of your students are not in the same section as you. Click the button to bring them to the section where you currently are.

If you want to bring students to a particular exercise, open the contextual menu of that exercise (three dots on the right) and click "Focus on exercise".
