Connect Volkswagen

Follow these steps to connect a Volkswagen to EEVEE

Updated over 4 months ago

What do I need

In order to link your Volkswagen you'll need to log in using your VW ID. This ID needs to have at least one vehicle linked to it and the car needs to have

  • A supported Volkswagen

    • Currently we support Volkswagen ID Series (ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.7, ID.Buzz)

    • Volkswagen hybrid vehicles are supported in beta.

  • Software version ME 3.0 or above is installed.

    • For some models you will need to have this installed via the dealership as OTA is not supported for olders models.

  • Location data enabled.

  • The vehicle needs to be located in the European Union.

  • You need to have an active Connect Subscription (so data can be shared).

    • Make sure you have "purchased" (added) all free subscriptions of Volkswagen Connect too via the VW-app and/or the vehicle's infotainment system.

Step-by-step

  1. Start the onboarding flow.

  2. Enter the username (email address) registered to Volkswagen.

  3. Enter the password registered to your username (email address).

If you do not have an VW ID you will first need to create one.

Known issues

I do not see the distance driven when checking the Driving-history.

  • Please enable the "Automatic Service feature" in the Volkswagen app. By enabling this feature the Odometer will be passed on via the API which EEVEE uses to determine the distance driven.

My car credentials are not being accepted

  • This could mean they are either incorrect or you are trying a vehicle that is based outside of the EU. At this time only cars within the European Union can be added.
