Picture this: you're in the middle of a live event when suddenly one of your guest's mic goes out, or they dip out of frame, or maybe you want to slip them a talking point. While you could address any of those issues directly in the middle of the stream, it would not only interrupt the whole event, it's also not a great production practice. Sometimes you need to be able to talk with guests privately while the event is live and that's where Guest Chat comes in.

Guest Chat is a text-based chat that is only viewable to Effi users and guests. The audience watching your stream will not be able to see private chat messages.

Guest Chat can be found by clicking on the chat icon at the bottom left of the studio. Guests will be able to access Private Chat the same way.

Guest Chat will open and you can begin communicating privately with your guests.

As soon as you send a message, a notification badge will pop up in the Greenroom letting your guests know they have a new message that needs their attention.

πŸ“Œ Important: while messages in Private Chat won't be visible to the audience, they will be visible to everyone in Effi including all the guests in the Greenroom.

Guest Chat is an easy way to be able to quickly and discreetly communicate during a live event without disrupting the stream.
