Workspace roles control who can manage the workspace and review cycles. Access to specific reviews and reports is configured separately and is not affected by workspace role alone.
Workspace Owner
The Workspace Owner has the highest level of access and full control over the workspace.
Permissions include:
Full access to all reviews, reports, and settings
Visibility into all review data across the organization
Manage user roles and permissions
Configure workspace-level settings (e.g., workspace name)
Manage billing, payments, and subscriptions
Connect and manage integrations (e.g., Slack)
Review Admin
Review Admins manage the review process without access to the broader workspace or billing settings.
Permissions include:
Create and manage review cycles
Configure review forms, participants, and cycle settings
Access review data for the cycles they manage
Limitations:
Cannot view review data created by other admins
Cannot access billing or workspace-level settings
This role is ideal for HR or People Ops users responsible for running reviews.
Member
Members are standard workspace users, including employees and managers.
Permissions include:
Participate in reviews as a reviewer and/or reviewee
View their own review results (when shared)
Set and track personal goals
Limitations:
Cannot create or manage review cycles
Cannot view other users’ reviews or reports
Cannot change workspace settings
Guest Participant
Guest Participants are external users invited only to complete reviews.
Permissions include:
Complete assigned reviews only
Limitations:
No access to the People section
No access to reviews outside their own assignments
No access to workspace settings or reports
This role is designed for external reviewers, such as advisors or partners.
Managing roles
To change a user’s role:
Go to People
Open the user’s profile
Update their role
To transfer workspace ownership, first assign the new user the Workspace Owner role, then contact support to transfer primary ownership if needed.
