Updated over a week ago

Workspace roles control who can manage the workspace and review cycles. Access to specific reviews and reports is configured separately and is not affected by workspace role alone.

Workspace Owner

The Workspace Owner has the highest level of access and full control over the workspace.

Permissions include:

  • Full access to all reviews, reports, and settings

  • Visibility into all review data across the organization

  • Manage user roles and permissions

  • Configure workspace-level settings (e.g., workspace name)

  • Manage billing, payments, and subscriptions

  • Connect and manage integrations (e.g., Slack)

Review Admin

Review Admins manage the review process without access to the broader workspace or billing settings.

Permissions include:

  • Create and manage review cycles

  • Configure review forms, participants, and cycle settings

  • Access review data for the cycles they manage

Limitations:

  • Cannot view review data created by other admins

  • Cannot access billing or workspace-level settings

This role is ideal for HR or People Ops users responsible for running reviews.

Member

Members are standard workspace users, including employees and managers.

Permissions include:

  • Participate in reviews as a reviewer and/or reviewee

  • View their own review results (when shared)

  • Set and track personal goals

Limitations:

  • Cannot create or manage review cycles

  • Cannot view other users’ reviews or reports

  • Cannot change workspace settings

Guest Participant

Guest Participants are external users invited only to complete reviews.

Permissions include:

  • Complete assigned reviews only

Limitations:

  • No access to the People section

  • No access to reviews outside their own assignments

  • No access to workspace settings or reports

This role is designed for external reviewers, such as advisors or partners.

Managing roles

To change a user’s role:

  1. Go to People

  2. Open the user’s profile

  3. Update their role

To transfer workspace ownership, first assign the new user the Workspace Owner role, then contact support to transfer primary ownership if needed.
