Review Reports Visibility and Sharing

Control when review reports are shared, manage who can see what, and keep feedback confidential

Updated over a week ago

Effy AI uses a layered permission system that lets you control review visibility at both the cycle level and the individual report level.

How review visibility works

Workspace-level access

  • Workspace Owners
Can view all reviews across the organization by default.
Reviewer anonymity for owners depends on the anonymization settings configured in each review cycle.

  • All other roles
Can see review data only if access is explicitly granted.

Learn more about workspace roles in the Workspace Roles and Permissions article.

Who can see submitted reviews?

  • Reviewers can always see their own submitted responses in the Dashboard.

  • They cannot see other reviewers’ responses unless access is explicitly granted.

Managing review visibility

You can control visibility in two ways:

Option 1: Manage access for a single review report

  1. Open a review from the Reviews section.

  2. Click Manage access.

  3. Configure who can view, summarize, or edit the report.

This is useful for fine-grained control over individual reports.

Option 2: Manage visibility for the entire cycle (bulk)

  1. Open the review cycle.

  2. Go to the Settings tab.

  3. Open Visibility and access.

  4. Configure default access levels for all reports in the cycle.

This is the fastest way to apply the same visibility rules across multiple reviewees.

Access levels explained

Each person added to a review report can be assigned one of the following access levels:

View

  • Can view the review report only

  • Cannot see individual responses

  • Cannot edit or share the report

View (anonymized)

  • Can view the review report only

  • Reviewer names are hidden

Summarize & Share

  • Can edit the report summary

  • Can grant view-only access to others

  • Cannot see reviewer names (if anonymized)

Summarize & Share (anonymized)

  • Same as above

  • Reviewer identities are hidden

Full access

  • Can view and edit report settings

  • Can manage visibility and access

Full access (anonymized)

  • Same as full access

  • Reviewer names are hidden

Important notes on anonymity

  • When managers are included in the sharing settings, they can see all responses they are granted access to, including upward reviews.

  • If upward feedback should remain anonymous from the manager, remove the manager from the sharing settings for that section or use an anonymized access level.
