Effy AI lets you add an acknowledgement step to the review process, so you can confirm that reviewees have seen and acknowledged their review report.
How acknowledgement works
When acknowledgement is enabled:
An additional Acknowledgement status is added to the review workflow
The review report includes a Request acknowledgement button
The reviewee receives a notification and must confirm they’ve reviewed the report
This helps ensure reviews are not only shared, but also formally acknowledged.
Requesting acknowledgement
Once the review report is ready:
Open the review report
Click Request acknowledgement
The reviewee receives a notification with a request to acknowledge the report
The reviewee confirms acknowledgement directly from the report.
Status changes
During this step:
The review status shows Acknowledgement pending
Once the reviewee clicks acknowledge, the status automatically changes to Completed
Important notes
Acknowledgement does not require the reviewee to submit feedback — it only confirms receipt and review of the report.
Managers or admins can trigger the acknowledgement request.
This step is optional and can be enabled or disabled per review cycle.
