Setting Up Review Reports

Design the structure, scores, and labels used in review reports

Review reports bring all collected responses into a single view, allowing you to analyze feedback and generate summaries for all responses or selected parts of them.

Effy AI lets you build individual review reports using flexible, pre-built blocks that can be customized to match your review goals and reporting style.

Summary block

Use the Summary block to generate an overview and key takeaways based on the collected feedback.

With AI-powered summary generation, you can:

  • Define a custom prompt to guide the AI output

  • Select which responses are included in the analysis

This helps you create more relevant, personalized summaries for each employee.

What the Summary block can and can't see: it summarizes only the open-text responses within that single review report. It doesn't pull from other employees' reviews and can't compare across employees. To compare individuals, use the Insights section (ratings only).

Scores comparison and radar charts

These blocks help you visualize results and compare feedback from different reviewer groups.

You can customize:

  • Topics
Labels that group questions into skills, competencies, or short titles, making reports easier to scan and understand

  • Scores
Numeric values assigned to rating-scale options, used to calculate comparisons and visualizations

These blocks help you create clear, structured reports that highlight strengths, gaps, and areas for development at a glance.

Where to edit topics and scores. Topics are set up only in an individual review report. Click Set up report, then hover over a block (e.g. Scores comparison or radar chart) and click Block settings. There you'll find Edit topics (rename or regroup competency labels), Answer scores (the numeric value of each rating option), Color thresholds, and more.
