Everything you need to know about the overtime balance in Eitje.

Updated over a week ago

In Eitje holidays are expressed in leave hours. These hours are processed in the leave balance. The leave balance is accrued per contract hour or worked hour. Below we explain what the leave balance does exactly and how it works in Eitje.

What is the leave balance?

The leave balance keeps track of the amount of leave hours someone has accrued and used. You can determine in the settings which contract types accrue leave and whether they do it on contract hours or approved hours. How many hours someone accrues per contract hour or worked hour depends on the leave factor. The leave factor can be set per contract type.

You find these settings by going to 'More' > Venue settings > Contracts.

By default team members with a fixed contract accrue leave hours on contract hours. And the leave factor is set at 0,096, which corresponds to 25 holidays based on a fulltime contract.

Corrections

An administrative error has been made and now the leave balance is incorrect? This can be fixed with a correction by adjusting the balance on a certain date. You can add a correction of +10:00, so the balance will increase by 10 and the same applies for -10:00, then it will decrease by 10. Read here how to apply a correction.

Start balance

You can also adjust the start balance. If you start using Eitje as a new customer, you may have already been keeping track of balances elsewhere before, so you would like to transfer these to Eitje. If you navigate to 'Start balance', you can set the day on which the balance registration in Eitje starts and what everyone's balance is on that day.

Definitely check out the manuals about the balance and about leave in Eitje.
