This article explains how to end the employment of team members in Eitje.

Do you have a team member that no longer works for you? You can then end the employment in Eitje.



End employment of team members

There are two ways to report someone out of service:

In the overview of your team members:

  • Click on 'Team' > 'Team members' at the top.

  • Click on the name of the team member you want to report out of service.

  • Click on 'Dismiss from service'.

  • If the team member is in multiple venues, you will see them listed here. You can report the team member out of service for one or directly for multiple branches.

In the team member's profile:

  • Click on 'Team' > Team members at the top.

  • Then click on the team member you want to report out of service.

  • Click on ''View [name]''.

  • This will take you to this team member's profile. Under the 'Actions' button, you can end their employment.

⚠️ Note: if you have multiple venues and you report a team member out of service via their profile, you will only end their employment for the venue you're currently in (see top right which venue you are in!) For example, if a team member is part of venue B, but you are in venue A, switch first and then report them out of service.

A few important things to take into account:

  • You are invoiced per active team member. An active team member is a team member who, at least once a month:

    • logged into Eitje or;

    • has been scheduled or;

    • for whom hours are written.

    If you want to avoid paying for certain team members, you can end their employment (temporarily). You can always rehire them if necessary.

  • If you use an integration with Loket or Employes, keep in mind that a team member's employment does not automatically end in Eitje when you only end it in the HR system. This needs to be done in both tools. Since the HR system is leading when it comes to team members and contracts, you have to end the employment in the HR system first and then in Eitje. The same applies to Nmbrs, but you have an option to automate this process. Read more about it in the articles about Nmbrs, Loket, and Employes.

  • It is not possible to end the employment of a team member for a date in the future. If you want to prevent the team member from being listed as available on the schedule, you could set this team member to “unavailable” as of that date.



Rehire team members

Did you end a team member's employment by accident or does an old team member want to come back to work for you? No problem! You can always rehire a team member.

  1. At the top, click on on 'Team' > Team members.

  2. At the top switch to the 'Out of service' list.

  3. At the level of the team member you want to rehire, click on the team member and then on their profile click on 'Rehire'.
