Introduction
Newsletters are ideal for delivering regular, periodic updates about organizational initiatives, practice updates, events, and other team-related news.
Steps
Create a new Newsletter
Access the Newsletter Feature
Go to Site Manager's Tools, which can be accessed via the link in the Profile drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner of the Home page.
Go to the newsletter management page by clicking the Newsletters section in the left-hand navigation.
Click on the New Newsletter button to open the Newsletter authoring page.
Add Metadata
Select the team(s) you want to post the newsletter to. You may select as many teams as appropriate or All Teams to post the newsletter to all teams on your Elemeno instance.
Caution:
Publishing a newsletter will display the link in the User Activity Panel for everyone on that team. If you are posting to a team with multiple newsletters, please be aware that the User Activity Panel will always display the most recent newsletter.
Select the "Publish At" date for your newsletter. This is the date and time that your newsletter will go live once you have saved it on this page. You can set this to publish immediately by selecting the current date and time.
Enter the title of your newsletter. The standard for Elemeno newsletters is title and date, for example, NICU Weekly Update 4/26/2023. That said, many of our clients already have "brand names" for their newsletters. Please use yours if you have one, as that helps with recognition by your team.
Add Content
You can create content in two ways: authoring content on the Elemeno platform using Rich Text or uploading a PDF. Select the format that is most appropriate for you.
PDF Upload
Do you already have a standard format for your team newsletter? If so, you can publish a PDF of that newsletter by uploading it directly into the Elemeno Content Management System.
Rich Text
This authoring panel contains commonly used formatting tools.
Note:
If you usually write your newsletter in a program such as Word or Sheets, you can continue composing there and just cut and paste into this field.
Save and Publish
When you have entered your content or uploaded your file, click Save, and your newsletter will go live on the date and time set in the Published field.
Display
User Activity Panel
Once published, your newsletter title will appear in the newsletter notification in the User Activity Panel.
Archive
Users can access an archive of all published newsletters via the Newsletters icon in the global navigation on the left-hand side of the app. This will display in descending chronological order.
