Adding Announcement Content to Your Library

Guide to creating a Content Request from an Announcement in Elemeno, including steps, form completion, and publishing information.

Updated over 6 months ago

Introduction

Announcements are time-sensitive, so uploaded PDFs and Quick Post content are not initially added to your searchable Elemeno library. That said, we know there are instances where the content you post as an Announcement will have value for your team for a longer lifespan.

You can create a Content Request directly from your Announcement for this type of content.

Steps

Starting the Request

Select "Publish and Request Resource..." after authoring your Announcement.

If you wish to start the request later, you can return to your Announcement via the edit button and select "Publish and Request Resource..." to open the content request form.

Completing the Request Form

Our team of Content Solution Designers and Content Producers will fulfill your content request based on the information that you share with us in the content request form.

Many fields in the Request form are mandatory and marked with a small red asterisk. Your request will not be accepted until all these fields are filled out.

Instructions for the Elemeno Content Delivery Team

For PDF Uploads

If you uploaded a PDF, you will be asked what you would like us to do with the PDF. There are two options:

  1. Upload the PDF - This is precisely what it sounds like. We will simply upload the PDF to your library and append all of the necessary metadata to ensure it is discoverable.

  2. Create an Elemeno resource - For resources ideal for Elemeno resource formats, such as a how-to, clinical reference, or administrative reference resources, we can transform your content into native Elemeno content types. This is ideal when you want to ensure that your content is actionable and formatted for delivery on workstations and mobile devices.

For the second option, please fill out the additional information in the form so we can understand how to format your content best.

For QuickPosts

Please fill out the information in the form so we can understand how to format your content for its intended purpose.

Publishing Information

In these fields, you will confirm the metadata associated with this content.

Approver - The Approver is most likely you, but if you want someone else to have the final say on this content going live, you can replace your name with theirs in this field.

Approvers must be registered users in the Elemeno database and must be set to have Approver permission. Please speak to your Strategic Account Manager if you wish for someone on your team to have these permissions and their name is not appearing in the drop-down menu.

Contributor - Contributors are team members who contribute to or advise on an Elemeno resource. This information may be helpful in the future when updating this resource. Contributors must be members of your Elemeno account. This is not a required field.

Syndication settings - You will confirm the teams to which this content should be Syndicated. When content is syndicated to a team, this team's name will appear in the "For" field in the header, and this content will be boosted in search results for users on that team. The settings for publishing to your Elemeno library can differ from the Announcement configuration, as this content may apply to many teams for longer-term access.

Publishing Timeline

Knowing when you need this content in your library is very helpful to our Content Delivery team so that we can make sure to meet any deadlines you may have.

Submit Your Request

Click on the "Submit Request" button to submit your form. Once submitted, our team will put the request into our content production queue and will be visible on your Content Requests dashboard.
