Reporting

Analytics and Reporting


The Analytics and Reporting button is found on your eMenu dashboard. This section helps you understand sales performance, payments, trends, and reconciliation.

Reporting Page

When you click Analytics and Reporting, the first page you see is the Reporting page.

Selecting a Time Period

At the top of the page you can:

  • Select a start date and time

  • Select an end date and time

This allows you to generate reports for the exact period you need.

Time Zone Warning

If the system detects a different time zone:

  • A red warning message will appear

  • Click the gear button

  • Select and save the correct time zone

  • This ensures all reports are accurate.

What This Page Shows

The main reporting page displays a full sales overview including:

  • Total orders

  • Gross payments

  • Payments before fees

  • Payments after fees

  • Average order value

  • Known customers

  • Tips

  • Refunds

  • Cash payments

  • Incomplete orders and their value

  • Discounts used and their value

Sales Trends and Products

When you scroll down you will see:

  • A daily revenue chart

    • Shows sales increases and drops over time

  • Top 8 products

Displays the most purchased items and their total sales

Downloading the Report

At the bottom of the page you can:

Download the report as a PDF



Advanced Reports and Downloads

At the top of the page click Show Advanced Reports and Download if you need more detailed reports.

This section is split into two areas:

  1. Financial Reconciliation

  2. Performance and Operations

Financial Reconciliation Reports

Sales Reconciliation Report

This report:

  • Compares the expected payment for each order with the actual payment received

  • Helps identify any differences or issues

Each order is shown in detail including:

  • Order information

  • Payment status

  • Card or cash payment

  • Items in the order

How to generate

Click View Report

Click on New Product sales report button

Select the time period and Click on create button

Download the report

Z Report

The Z Report is:

  • The official end of day report

  • Summarises all sales

  • Resets transaction data for the next day

It includes:

  • Full daily sales totals

  • Detailed breakdown of each section

How to generate

Click View Report

Select start and end date

  • Click generate

You can:

  • Download the full report

  • Or download specific sections only

Stripe Report

The Stripe Report provides a full breakdown of all payments processed through Stripe.

This report helps you:

  • Reconcile payments with your bank payouts

How to access

  • Go to Analytics and Reporting

  • Click Stripe Reporting, Then Click View Report

You can view

  • Order ID

  • Payment type such as card or refund

  • Amount paid

  • Fees deducted

  • Net amount received

  • Date and time of each transaction

  • Arrival Date

  • Refund Date and Amount

  • Transaction Date(the date when the transaction done) and Payout Date (When the amount received in your bank)

Additional information

  • Total card payments

  • Total cash payments

  • Total transaction value for the selected period

  • When payouts will reach your bank account

  • Can Be Dowloaded in Both (Payout or Transactions)

To see which orders are included in a payout:

Click the Transactions button on the right of a payout row

This shows every order in that payout

Performance and Operations Reports

Item Sales Volume

This report shows:

  • The total quantity sold for each item

It helps you:

  • Track popular products

  • Support stock and menu decisions

How to download

  • Click View Report

  • Select the date range, From month and year start and end.

  • You can always switch Monthly report to daily

  • Select the send as email button to receive the report on your email

  • Compile and download

X Report

The X Report is:

  • A live snapshot of sales since the start of a shift

  • Does not reset totals

The X Report includes the following key sections to help you analyze your sales:

1. Sales Summary

  • A breakdown of sale:

    • Gross Payments

    • Costs

    • Net Sales

    • Card

    • Cash

2. Sales by Reporting Category

  • Analyze your sales performance across predefined categories, allowing you to identify trends and opportunities.

3. Sales by Menu Item

  • Detailed insights into the performance of individual menu items.

4. Sales by Menu

  • A summary of total sales by each menu, helping you understand which menus are driving revenue.

5. Sales by Service Type

  • View sales by service type, such as dine-in, takeaway, or delivery, to better understand customer preferences.

6. Refund Details

  • A detailed breakdown of all refunds processed during the selected time period. With order number and amount.

Can be downloaded via CSV or PDF file all the sections. On the Top you can see CSV and PDF buttons. Click on it and all section will be downloaded.
