Opening the settings
WiFi Settings
Open the settings (as above)
Tap ‘Network’:
Choose your network, then enter the password:
Tap ‘Run health check’. This will check that the device can connect to the internet. If the health check fails, try connecting to a different WiFi network.
For more diagnostics, tap ‘< Back’, then ‘Advanced’:
Tap ‘Diagnostics’:
If one or all of these aren’t marked as ‘Passed’ then there’s an issue with Stripe and you will have to wait for them to fix their issues before you can use the card terminal.
Factory Reset
Please note, this should only be done as a last resort. At best it will result in 10 minutes of downtime, but could last much longer. Please ensure that you have followed the steps above to connect to a WiFi network and test the connection before continuing.
Open the settings (see above)
Tap ‘Advanced’:
Tap ‘Factory reset’:
Tap ‘ Reset device ’:
Tap ‘OK’:
Wait for the device to start up again
Select the language
Set up the WiFi as normal
Tap ‘Continue’
Wait for the device to download and install updates
When it has finished, you should see the normal ‘Stripe’ waiting screen:
