We know using a new tool can be confusing, this guide will help you create and send your first engagement (what we call a survey) using Engage.

Step 1: Create your Organization

After signing up for Engage, you'll see the Organizations page. Organizations can be for teams or groups of people to share access to different engagements.

  1. Click the “New Organization” button to get started

Step 2: Name your Organization

The name doesn't have to be fancy. Just give it a name that makes sense for you. You can always change this later.

Step 3: Create your Workspace

Workspaces are folders inside Organizations. They help to keep engagements sorted, for example by project name. You can have many Workspaces inside an Organization.

  1. Click on the “New Workspace” button.

Step 4: Name your Workspace

The name doesn't have to be fancy. Just give it a name that makes sense for you. You can always change this later.

Step 5: Create your First Engagement

Engagements are what we call surveys or forms. They are created inside Workspaces. You can have many engagements inside a Workspace.

  1. Click on the “New Engagement” button.

Step 6: Name your Engagement and Add a Question

Start by giving your engagement a name. You can also add a description if you want more detail. You can always change this later.

Next, we will add our first question!

  1. Click on the “Add Question” button.

Step 7: Select your Question Type

Adding a question opens this popup with all the question types. They are categorized to help you understand how each type works.

For this example, we will be using Sticky Notes.

  1. Click on the “Sticky Notes” type.

Step 8: Edit your Question

Sticky Notes digitize the familiar feedback activity by enabling you to upload an image, decide how many sticky notes you want people to place, and then send that engagement link to a group of any size.

  1. Give this question a title & description.

  2. Select how many total sticky notes you want people to be able to place.

  3. Decide what color sticky notes you want them to place.

  4. Decide how many sticky notes of each color.

  5. Optionally, name the colors.

Step 9: Add your Image

Sticky Note questions need an image that people can place their sticky notes on.

  1. Click “Choose File” to upload your image. Keep it under 3mb.

  2. Once your image loads, click the “Upload” button to confirm your choice.

Step 10: Save your Engagement

Save your work by clicking the “Save” button on the bottom right. You're almost done!

Step 11: Launch your Engagement

After saving your engagement, it needs to be activated in order for it to be public. This can be done on the Share tab inside an engagement.

  1. Click “Mark as Active" to publish your engagement.

  2. Click on the copy button to get the URL for your engagement.
