What is a Sticky Notes question?

Sticky Notes question allow us to gather subjective feedback from an image. The respondents could place "points" or "sticky notes" on an image and provide their feedback.

1. Name your Engagement and Add a Question

Create a new engagement and give it a name. You can also add a description if you want more detail. You can always change this later.

Next, we will add our question! Click on the “Add Question” button.

2. Select your Question Type

Click the “Sticky Notes” button.

3. Add a Title and an Optional Description for your Question

Add a title and an optional description for your question. In the Sticky Notes question you can offer up to 3 different color sticky notes. Each color can imply or ask a slightly different angle. Some examples might be, "What would you like to see" or "What would you like to avoid"?

Setting the Quantity

You can set a different number for each color. For example, 1 yellow, 2 red, and 1 blue.

Once you've setup your question title, description, and your colors, scroll down to upload your image.

4. Upload your image

Uploading an image is currently done in the Preview area. Scroll down to and click the "Choose File" button to select your image and then click on "Upload" to upload that image.

Click on the "Save" button to complete your Engagement.

That's it. Congratulations on creating your Sticky Notes question.

5. Activating you Engagement

Go to the "Share" tab, click on "Mark as active", and copy the link by clicking the button near bubble 3. Now paste the link in new tab and hit go.

6. What does the Sticky Notes question look like?

Below is what the Sticky Notes question looks like from the view of the respondent.

The respondent can click anywhere on the image to place a note. Whenever they add a comment, those comments are shown in the window on the left near bubble 2. Respondents can also check the number of cards remaining near bubble 1.

Once a respondent clicks on the image, a new window (as shown below) pops up where the respondent can pick the type of card and write their response.

As you can see, this feature allows gathering feedback, especially subjective feedback extremely efficient and easy.
