Enlighten is the only teeth whitening system in the world to guarantee profound, long-lasting results without the need to change diet or lifestyle. Results can be permanent with simple at home top up.
It takes 3 weeks to get to the guaranteed B1 shade. Your dentist will make customised tight fitting Enlighten trays which you will wear overnight in weeks 1 and 2 and for 1 hour a day in week 3.
Why does Enlighten whitening work better than other whitening techniques
Enlighten is an optimisation of existing whitening techniques. The gels are fresher and more stable, the trays are tighter fitting, sensitivity is lower than other systems.
The fresher and more stable gels ensure that the gels do not lose their effectiveness over time and do not become acidic (which would otherwise create more sensitivity)
The tight-fitting trays ensure that saliva does not get into the trays diluting the gel and gel does not escape the trays keeping it in contact with the tooth for the optimum amount of time.
Lower sensitivity means that you are more likely to easily and smoothly comply with the process to achieve brilliant results.
How much does Enlighten whitening cost?
You should expect to pay around £600 for the full Enlighten treatment. However the price may vary. Please contact your nearest Enlighten provider to get an accurate price.

How does Enlighten Whitening work?
Enlighten is a 3-week treatment and guarantees a B1 shade for 98% of cases.
You start by using the Enlighten Serum toothpaste for two weeks prior to receiving the Home Kit from the dentist and continue to use it throughout the whole treatment. The first two weeks are done overnight and the third week is done during the day for one hour each day. The gels must be refrigerated at all times. Before going to sleep, you do your usual night-time routine (brush and floss), place one unit of gel in both the trays, pop it into your mouth and go to sleep.
In the morning, you take the trays out, rinse them under cold water, drain as much water as possible out of them, then place them upside down in their trays to allow the rest of the water to drain. You then apply the Enlighten Comfort desensitising gel on your teeth on the areas closest to the gum, making sure your lips do not touch the teeth for 30 seconds after the gel was applied. Repeat this after each application. Once you have finished the first two weeks treatment overnight, move onto your final third week gel. The Week 3 syringe is to be worn for 1 hour a day for seven days. Once again, at the end of the hour, you remove your trays, brush your teeth then you apply the Enlighten Comfort desensitising gel on the area closest to your gum. Once this week is complete, you have finished your initial Enlighten course, and it is time to introduce the Enlighten White toothpaste and plan to start your the top-up regime.
What is the difference between the two toothpastes?
The Enlighten Serum is a hydroxyapatite desensitising serum paste that redefines daily oral care. Desensitises and micro-repairs teeth at the same time and it must be used for two weeks before starting your treatment as well during it. After the treatment it is best used in the evening before going to bed.
The Enlighten White is a stain removing paste redefines the whitening toothpaste category. It enzymatically removes stains off the teeth and forms a glossy layer which prevents further stains from accumulating. It should be introduced in your routine after the teeth whitening process to maintain those pearly white gnashers.
Both our toothpaste are less abrasive than most others on the market and can be safely used on restorations such as composite bonding, veneers, crowns, implants, etc. They can be used as a DuoCare - The Serum in the evening before bed to perform the micro-repair and combat any sensitivity and the White in the morning to get your teeth bright and shiny for the day. They both contain all the properties of a normal toothpaste as well as their own unique ones above mentioned, so they can easily replace your current toothpaste.
Do I need to keep a top-up regime?
Yes, we absolutely advise that you maintain a top-up regime in order to keep-up the brilliant results you achieved. The longer you do the top-up regime, the less you will need to do overtime. Please see the recommended top-up regime below.
Can I buy the kit or syringes directly from you?

Do I need to avoid tea and coffee whilst whitening with Enlighten?
No, you do not need to avoid any of your favourite foods or drinks whilst whitening with Enlighten.
Can I use any of the gels for longer than the recommended time?
Week 1 and Week 2 gels are meant to be used for as close to 8 hours as possible (or for as long as you're asleep). Using them past the 8 hour mark would not cause any harm, however the gels simply stop having an effect so it is pointless to wear them for longer.
Week 3 gel also simply stops working after 1 hour which would also render it pointless to whiten for longer than that.
How can I do the treatment if I have to wear an orthodontic retainer at night?
If you have just finished orthodontic treatment after which you must wear a removable retainer at night but also want to do Enlighten Whitening, do this instead: Wear your retainer during daytime for as long as you can and do the whitening at night for as close to 8 hours as possible. This is the least disruptive method of whitening whilst also wearing a retainer. The same goes for the top-up regime for those who wear an orthodontic retainer. Please see the protocols below:
