The following article is information about Gift Cards from the Customer Portal.
Purchasing a Gift Card
Right now customers can only purchase Gift Cards from the Customer App. Click on Home on the menu bar and scroll down to the Benefits/Credits section. Here you can click on "Purchase gift card."
NOTE: Admins can manage Gift Cards and create internal Gift Cards from Submissions > Gift Cards.
On the left of the Gift Card page, you will see an image of the Gift Card, along with the following:
Terms of Services link (outlines the terms and conditions associated with the Gift Card)
Email Preview button (this shows you a preview of the email that will be sent to the recipient notifying them of the Gift Card purchase)
Purchase button
On the right will be the Gift Card Options:
Amount (enter a custom amount)
"To name" and "From name" fields ("To" is the recipient's name, and "From" is the purchaser's name)
Recipient's email address (this is required to purchase)
Optional message to the recipient (this message is included in the Gift Card email)
Email Preview Button
You can click this button (underneath the Gift Card image) to see the email that will be sent to the Gift Card recipient. The default message at the bottom cannot be edited. However, the optional message is displayed at the top (see screenshot below).
Purchase Button
After clicking the Purchase button, you will do the following:
Enter your email address. The system will direct you to sign in if you already have an account. If you DO NOT have an Account, one will be created associated with the email address used to purchase the Gift Card.
NOTE: To log in to that created Account, you must create a password using the reset / set up password button on the sign-in page.
Enter payment method (ACH/electronic check or credit/debit card is accepted)
Confirm and submit (you will get a pop-up message if the payment was successful)
NOTE: The purchaser can view their transaction history on their Account. We have plans to upgrade purchases and add a receipt in the future.
Receiving Gift Card Funds
The recipient will receive an email that they have a Gift Card. They will have to click on the "Redeem" button to apply the Gift Card amount to their Account.
Apply Gift Card to My Account:
Current Account - If you already have an account, login here
Create Account - If you have never created an account, create one here
Once you sign in to your Account, the Gift Card will automatically be applied (you will see a "Redemption Success" message pop up upon login). Now there are three headings on the Customer App: Enroll, Gift Card, and Account:
Gift Card Balance Page
You will then be automatically directed to the Gift Card balance page, where you can see a list of Gift Cards you must redeem and your total Gift Card balance.
Pressing the back arrow takes you to the Customer Payments page, where the Gift Card balance is listed under Benefits/Credits.
Using Gift Card Funds
Currently, Gift Cards can ONLY be used upon enrollment into a Program. In the future, we have plans to expand the uses.
On the Enroll page, before completing enrollment, the Gift Card credit will show (as well as any other credit on the Account).
NOTE: Previous credits on the Account will be used BEFORE any Gift Card credit! The gift card balance will be automatically applied, but only the applicable amount will be used (after any other credits are applied).
