FAQs

Before you start managing your ads, make sure you are logged in to the Ad Manager.

How do I remove an ad from my site?

There are two ways you can approach this. They are listed below.

Option A: Unlink the Ad Banner from the Zones in the "Zones" Section

  1. Select the "Zones" tab

  2. Make sure on the Ad Manager you are on the Website your zones is under. If you are not, select the correct Website in the top drop-down field.

  3. Click on the "Linked Zones" link on the far right of the zone your ad banner is linked to

  4. Click the "arrows" icon next to your banner. This will unlink the banner from the zone.

Option B: Unlink the Ad Banner from the Zones in the Banner's Settings

  1. Select the "Banners" tab

  2. Make sure on the Ad Manager you are on the Advertiser and Campaign your banner is under. If you are not, select the correct Advertiser / Campaign in the top drop-down field.

  3. Click on the name of your banner you plan to unlink

  4. Uncheck the boxes next to the zones it is linked to

  5. Click the "Save Changes" button

How to disable an ad?

  1. Select the "Banners" tab

  2. Make sure on the Ad Manager you are on the Advertiser and Campaign your banner is under. If you are not, select the correct Advertiser / Campaign in the top drop-down field.

  3. Click the "Deactivate" link to the far right of the banner you wish to disable

Note: Disabling a banner will prevent it from showing up on the website, but it will still be linked to the zones it is attached to. If you ever need to bring back the banner for the website, click the "Activate" link to the far right of the banner.

How to delete ads?

  1. Select the "Banners" tab

  2. Make sure on the Ad Manager you are on the Advertiser and Campaign your ad banners are under. If you are not, select the correct Advertiser / Campaign in the top drop-down field.

  3. Click on the checkboxes next to the banners you wish to remove

  4. Click the "Remove" link

Note: Once deleted, the banners and their stats will be gone for good, and there will be no way to get them back.

How to find what ads are running in an Ad Zone?

  1. Select the "Zones" tab

  2. Make sure on the Ad Manager you are on the Website your zone is under. If you are not, select the correct Website in the top drop-down field.

  3. Click on the "Linked Zones" link on the far right of a zone to view what ad banners are linked to it

How can I see the probability on how often the banners will rotate in a zone?

  1. Select the "Zones" tab

  2. Make sure on the Ad Manager you are on the Website your zone is under. If you are not, select the correct Website in the top drop-down field.

  3. Click on the "Probability" link on the far right of a zone to view the probabilities for the linked banners

How to set the weight for an ad?

  1. Select the "Banners" tab

  2. Make sure on the Ad Manager you are on the Advertiser and Campaign your banner is under. If you are not, select the correct Advertiser / Campaign in the top drop-down field.

  3. Click on the name of your banner you plan to unlink

  4. Change the number for the weight

  5. Click the "Save Changes" button

Note: The weight for the banner is the priority it would have over other banners in the same campaign if they are linked in the same zone.

  • If a banner's weight is higher than the other banners, it will appear more often on your website.

  • If the banner's weight is the same as the other banners, it will appear or rotate with the banners equally at a 50 | 50 rate.

How to add an ad to a page or column?

  1. While logged in the Admin - or the back-end - of your website, select a page or side column you plan to have your ad display on. Here are the sections you can place the ads in:

    1. Menu & Pages > Menu Pages

    2. Menu & Pages > Side Columns

    3. Menu & Pages > Additional Pages

    4. Menu & Pages > Built-In Pages

  2. Create an "Ad Zone" stack item

    1. Type in the name for your stack item

    2. Select the "Ad Zone" type

    3. Click the "Add Item / Add" button.

  3. Click the "Caution" icon next to your new item

  4. Select the ad zone - the one your ad is attached to - in the drop-down field under the "Ad Zone Settings" section

  5. Optional: If you do not want users to see the name of your item on your website, select the "None" option under the "Item Headline" section

  6. Click the "Save Changes" button
