What is the Audio Prompts feature in Threads?
Audio Prompts automatically transcribes audio files and provides interactive buttons or 'Audio Prompts' for various content transformations. When you attach an audio file to a thread, it generates both a transcript and suggested actions for using that content. You can modify default prompts, add custom ones, or remove unnecessary options to match your specific workflow needs.
Processing audio files with Audio Prompts
Follow all the steps for starting a new thread: click '+' next to Threads in the sidebar, select a Brand and Project, Assistant or Persona if needed, and type your initial prompt in the input field. You can invite collaborators before or during your conversation with the AI.
To use an audio attachment in your conversation, click the Attachment icon at the top-right of the input field, and select your audio file (.aac, .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, .wav). See Technical Specifications for more details on supported file formats and size.
βAfter transcription completes, a row of default audio prompts appears below the text. Use the horizontal scroll bar to navigate and select a prompt to transform your audio content with a single click:
Bullet Points (creates concise key points from the transcript)
Extract Questions (identifies and lists all questions asked)
Identify Emotions (detects emotional tone and sentiment)
Separate Speakers (organises dialogue by speaker)
Split into Paragraphs (structures text into readable sections)
Summarise (generates a brief overview of main points)
Write a Blog Post (transforms transcript into blog format)
Write a Social Media Post (creates social media content suitable for any platform)
Write an Email (converts key information into email format)
