How do I receive payouts on EVEN?

Payouts on EVEN are facilitated through your Stripe account. If you haven't set up a Stripe account yet, locate your Complete Stripe Onboarding Email in the email associated with your EVEN sign-up account and complete your account before your project goes on sale.

To start receiving payouts, it's crucial to create a connected account. This is essentially a user account linked to the EVEN marketplace and represents your Stripe API. This connected account gathers the necessary information to verify your identity and enables the smooth transfer of funds to your bank account.

How often will I receive payouts?

Payments for digital projects are disbursed on a daily basis. The processing time may vary, taking up to a few hours or possibly 24 hours, depending on the bank associated with your account.

How does EVEN collects their revenue share?

At the time of sale, EVEN collects its 20% revenue share and cover all transaction fees for both fans and artists. For instance, if an artist generates $100 in revenue, they would receive a net payout of $80.

How do I set up my Stripe Account?

To set up your Stripe Account, please follow the steps below:

  1. After successfully completing the "Revenue Splits" sections and uploading your release, you will receive an email that says ‘Complete Your Splits Onboarding with Stripe - Action Required’. The email should look something like this:

  2. The link will bring you to our Stripe onboarding page where you will need to fill out a form.

In this Stripe form, you'll be required to provide the following essential information:

  • Legal Name of Person: This must match the name on your government-issued ID for accurate identification purposes.

  • Email Address: If you've previously created a Stripe account, you'll be redirected to a login page. Ensure the email address associated with your Stripe account is accurate.

  • Date of Birth: Provide your date of birth for age verification and compliance with legal requirements.

  • Home Address: Your current residential address is needed for authentication and correspondence purposes.

  • Country Where Bank Is Located: Specify the country where your bank is situated, as this information is crucial for processing payments and ensuring compliance with regional regulations.

  • Phone Number: A valid and active phone number is required for communication and security purposes. It may also be used for two-factor authentication during the account setup process.

By furnishing accurate details in these categories, you contribute to the seamless creation and verification of your Stripe account, facilitating secure payouts and adherence to regulatory standards.

How can I see the revenue I’ve made during my EVEN Release?

To see the revenue you’ve made on EVEN, you can reference to your Analytics Dashboard on you Backstage account.

Within your EVEN Analytics Dashboard you are able to verify:

  • Total Revenue: The overall income generated from the release.

  • Total Units Sold - Per Customer: Quantity of purchases sold per customer, offering insights into purchasing behavior for tailored marketing strategies.

  • Average Sale Price: The mean value of the price at which each unit is sold.

  • Streaming Equivalent Compared to Sales: Comparing streaming equivalent to sales in the context of music release revenue.

Where can I see my payouts in Stripe?

Within the Stripe Dashboard you are able to see payouts that have been sent to your account and payouts that are also on the way!

How Do Revenue Splits Work?

Revenue Splits play a crucial role in ensuring that individuals involved in your project receive their deserved compensation. These split earners can encompass a diverse range of contributors, such as:

  • Labels

  • Managers

  • Producers

  • Engineers

  • Your Family Member

Anyone whom you believe should be entitled to a payout. When setting up your splits during the upload process, you'll be prompted to provide the email addresses, roles, and the respective percentages of the project for each individual involved.

Can I set revenue splits per track?

It is important to note that, at present, we do not offer the option for revenue splits per track; splits are applied to the entire project.

How do I set up my Release Splits (Revenue Splits)?

To set up Release Splits for your new project, follow the steps below:

  1. Input email, country, and role for each split holder.

  2. Assign percentage splits for each user.

  3. Save each split holder and click "continue."

After entering split details, recipients will receive an email with a Stripe Onboarding form. Completion of Stripe Onboarding by each recipient is required before the project can go on sale, ensuring a fair distribution of earnings.

How can I edit my Release Splits?

To edit your Release Splits (Revenue Splits), go to your Backsgate account, and under the 'My Release' tab click on your release.

On the Revenue Splits section, click on 'edit'. It will take you to the following page:

On the Release Splits page, edit or add split holders, but note that you cannot remove any existing ones. If you add a new split holder, make sure to adjust the percentages accordingly.

How do Record Labels get paid on EVEN?

Revenue on EVEN is split into "Music Share" and "Access Share," each representing 50% of the total revenue. If a release makes $1,000, and a label is entitled to 20% of the music revenue, they would receive 20% of the Music Share ($500), equating to $100. The artist earns the entirety of the Access Share ($500) plus 80% of the Music Share ($400), totaling $900.
