Opening your map
From the bottom menu bar, tap Map.
If your event has multiple maps, select the map you would like to view.
You’ll land on your event map.
Navigating your map
Click and drag to move around your map, pinch to zoom in and out, and rotate the map as needed.
You can also tap on any object on your map to view its information.
When you first select an object, a panel will appear at the bottom of the screen showing some basic information about it.
Click and drag the panel upwards to expand it and see all of the information associated with that object. Depending on how your event has been set up, this can include:
Size and dimensions
Supplier
Department
In and out dates
Tags
Custom attributes
Other information added to the object
This gives your onsite team quick access to the same detailed map information available in EventLab, directly from the mobile app.
Map controls
In the top right of the map, you’ll find three controls:
Map Modes
Tap the map icon to change your map mode. Depending on your event, you can switch between Google Maps, Esri, black or white backgrounds, or your custom drone map if you have one uploaded.
Current Location
Tap the location icon to move the map to your current location.
Compass
Tap the compass icon to reorient your map with north facing up.
Bottom Toolbar
Along the bottom of the map, you’ll find your main map tools.
Search
Tap the search icon to open the search bar. You can use this to quickly find anything on your event map.
Filters
Tap the filter icon to choose what is displayed on your map. You can filter objects, areas, fencing, routes and other map items to show only the information you need.
A small red bubble on the filter icon indicates that filters are currently active.
Tip: If you can't see something that you know should be on your map, check your filters first - you may have accidentally filtered it out!
3 Dots Menu
Tap the three dots to access some additional map options:
Change View
Switch between Views that have been created on your EventLab web map. Views allow you to quickly display only the information relevant to what you're doing.
Recentre to Event
Found yourself lost in space? Tap Recentre to Event to bring the map straight back to your event.
Change Event Map
If your event has multiple maps, use this to switch between them.
When you open the Map from somewhere else in the app, such as from the Schedule, EventLab will take you to the last event map you were working on.
Adding markers
Tap the purple + icon to add a marker to your map.
Markers are a quick way to add information while you're onsite. There are three ways you can place one:
Tap the purple + icon and manually move the marker to where you want to place it.
Tap and hold anywhere on the map to add a marker directly at that location.
Tap your blue location dot to add a marker exactly where you're currently standing.
Once you've positioned your marker, you can add the relevant information and save it to your event map.
