Manually Post Charges

Send Menu Items to Mews as an Order

Updated over a week ago

This feature allows you to select one or multiple Menu Items from Event Temple & send them to Mews as an order for the selected Customer or Paymaster.

There are two ways you can manually post items to Mews

By Event

  • Post Items for any Events that have occurred or are occurring today

  • An order will automatically be created in Mews for each Event selected

  • All of the Event’s unposted items will be sent

  • The consumption date will be Event End Date & with the time 23.59

    • This means if Event or Booking end date is Jan 5, it posts them at end of day: Jan 5 @ 23:59. We do this to give you a better chance of posting within your editable history interval

  • Items not belonging to any Event will be grouped by the Booking end date & the consumption date will be the Booking end date

By Menu Item

  • Manually select a consumption date other than the Event/Booking end date.

  • Choose which Menu Items should be in each Order, instead of having an Order = an Event

It's also possible to automatically post charges to Mews. Read more here!

Important Considerations

Once items have been posted to Mews, they are locked. This means they cannot be changed or deleted in Event Temple. Due to this, it's best practice to post the items to Mews after the Booking has occurred and the items have been finalized in Event Temple.

Menu Items must have a tax to send to Mews. If you attempt to send a Menu Item/s which do not have a tax attached, it will fail.

You can not post 0,5 units of anything to Mews since Mews doesn't work with half units.

An Order in Mews can only have one consumption time. Since Menu items in Event Temple each have their own serving time there is currently no way to map them as a Mews Order with multiple times.

Mews has a maximum of 255 characters for Menu Item names. Anything more than this will cause the posting to fail.

If using Packages, the attendees cannot be adjusted once any items within the Package have been sent to Mews (as they are locked).
