Sync Overview

Sync

  • New Contacts created in ET can be synced to Mews as customers

  • Updates made to those synced customers in Mews sync back to ET

  • Existing Contacts in ET that aren't synced to Mews can be manually linked at anytime

  • Existing customers in Mews are NOT downloaded as Contacts to ET

  • New customers in Mews are NOT created as Contacts automatically in ET

Synced Fields

  • Contact's First Name

  • Contact's Last Name

  • Contact's phone number

  • Contact's email address

  • Contact's address

Default Options

Admin users have the ability to configure some time-saving settings!

Default value for Create on PMS tickbox - choose whether the tickbox is selected or unselected by default

Display Create on PMS tickbox - choose whether to show the tickbox when creating a new Contact or Account. If the tickbox is hidden, then new Accounts/Contact sync will be based on your 'create on pms' selection.


How to Sync Contacts to Mews

Sync a New Event Temple Contact to Mews

Depending on the previously described default settings, you may have the option to choose whether or not to create the Contact as a customer in Mews

If selected, if a customer with the same email address exists in Mews, it will be linked to the existing customer. If no customer exists, it will create a new one.

How to Sync an Existing Event Temple Contact to Mews

From the Contact Summary Page

  1. Click Link to Mews

  2. Enter the Contact email address

  3. Click Search

    1. If an existing Mews' customer is found select it from the search results & click Link

    2. If an existing Mews' customer is not found Click Create


Paymaster Account

When creating/updating a Contact, you can specify whether they should be classified as a Paymaster Account in Mews!


Synced Contacts

Synced Contacts will appear with a green check mark next to them

On the Contact List, use the Sync Status Filter if you would like to see specific results

Once a Contact has been linked to Mews, it will be pre-selected:

Important Considerations

  • Group Sync (Mews availability block) does not currently connect to Mews Contacts

  • Please have an admin user reach out to our friendly support team to enable this feature on your Organization.
