How to Connect Cloudbeds to Event Temple

If you are not yet an Event Temple customer, reach out to our friendly team via chat or email support@eventtemple.com

To activate the PMS integration feature, send a request via email or chat to Event Temple support. Once you have confirmation that the feature has been enabled you will be able to connect your Account.

Ensure you are signed into Cloudbeds using the same browser as Event Temple.

Connect your Account

  1. Click Settings

  2. Click Integrations

  3. Click PMS

  4. Click Link

  5. Select Cloudbeds

  6. Click Next

  7. Click Connect to Cloudbeds, you will be prompted to log into Cloudbeds

  8. Click Link Hotel

  9. Select the property you would like to connect to this organization

  10. Click Save

πŸ‘‹ Important!

Event Temple is in the Cloudbeds Marketplace but we do not recommend setting up the integration from the Marketplace as you will not be able to select which ET Organization to connect.


Integration Functionality

Sync Room Types

In order to view live availability, Event Temple must first sync Room Types from Cloudbeds.

πŸ‘‹ Know before you go!

If you're an existing Event Temple Customer that already has Room Types added, your Room Types are matched to an Accommodation Type by comparing the Code (Event Temple) to the Accommodation Abbreviation (Cloudbeds). It's best to first check that any room type's codes in Event Temple match to the appropriate room in Cloudbeds.

If you're a new Event Temple Customer (welcome!) Room Types should not be added, as they'll be synced directly from Cloudbeds

How to sync:

  1. Click Settings

  2. Click Integrations

  3. Click PMS

  4. Click Sync Room Types

Room Types can be viewed under Settings β†’ Organization β†’ Room Types. Synced room types are easily identified by a green check mark.

View Availability

Once the above setup is complete it is possible to view live availability from Cloudbeds in Event Temple! From the GRC click Room Type Availability.

The Availability row in the GRC table sums up availability for all your room types. To see the exact availability per room type use the Room Type Availability button to see it broken down:

Disconnecting Cloudbeds

Follow these steps to remove the Cloudbeds connection from your organization. This can only be done by an admin user.

  1. Click Settings

  2. Click Integrations

  3. Click PMS

  4. Click Unlink

πŸ‘‹ Important!

It is possible to disconnect your integration from within Cloudbeds (Apps & Marketplace > Apps and Integrations > Manage Apps) but we strongly recommend you only disconnect from within Event Temple!

If you have multiple organizations integrated with Cloudbeds, disconnecting from within Cloudbeds will cause all of them to be disconnected.


Important Considerations & FAQ

  • In the current version, Event Temple does not have the functionality to create Groups in Cloudbeds. However, it's worth noting that this limitation is expected to be addressed in future updates. For now, you can utilize Event Temple to confirm availability and then proceed to create the Room Block in Cloudbeds.

  • Only users with chain admin permissions can connect or disconnect Cloudbeds

  • If you Authorize Event Temple from Cloudbeds you will still have to go through the above connecting process in Event Temple to complete the integration.
