The storefront integrations allow you to collect additional customer information for each ticket and other data, such as recurring event date selection or seat selection if the event supports it. This information is often critical and must be collected for a successful event and customer experience, so ensuring it's not bypassed is essential.

The storefront integrations sometimes require a short time to load on the page before they're ready completely; this is usually only a half second at most on most themes, so it isn't noticeable, but there are themes or slow customer connections that may slow this down to a couple of seconds in extreme cases. When the customer clicks the checkout, add to cart, or buy now buttons very fast, before the integrations are ready, then you can have a case where they bypass the required data collection.

Fortunately, we have a solution that works on all 2.0 themes; you have to enable it in your Shopify visual theme editor. First, go to Online Store -> Themes in your Shopify dashboard and then hit the Customize button on your active theme.

Once in your theme editor, hit the Theme Settings button on the bottom left, and you'll see a new set of options on the right side of the screen; under App Embeds, you can now enable the Evey Events & Tickets app to embed. Make sure to toggle the switch next to the app embed to the on position, the option to prevent bypassing the data collection is then enabled by default.

Note: This works for both Online Store 2.0 and legacy themes.
