How to Enable Cart Reservation for Assigned Seating

Ever wish your customers could reserve their seats in the cart for a limited time? Good news, Evey Events & Tickets supports cart reservations for events with assigned seating!

With this feature enabled, once a customer adds a seat to their cart, that seat will be temporarily held and cannot be selected by others until the reservation expires. This helps prevent double bookings and enhances the overall experience for your attendees.

Note: Cart reservation is only available for events using assigned seating. To learn more, check out our Assigned Seating article.


How to Enable Cart Reservation

  1. From your Evey dashboard, go to Settings.

  2. Click on Storefront Integrations.

  3. Go to the Seating tab.

  4. Scroll to the Customize section and check the box for Enable cart reservation.

  5. Set the cart reservation expiration time (in minutes) and click Save.

Once set, the cart reservation countdown begins the moment a seat is added to a cart. If the customer doesn’t check out before the timer runs out, the seat becomes available again for others to book.
