Multi-Ticket Selector and Reserved Seating Events

Updated over 3 weeks ago

The Multi-Ticket Selector is a great way to let customers choose multiple ticket types and quantities directly from your storefront product page, perfect for museums, tours, or general admission events where multiple tickets are often purchased together.

However, this feature is not compatible with Reserved Seating events.
Here’s why.

Why It Doesn’t Work With Reserved Seating

Reserved Seating events use a seating chart where each ticket corresponds to a specific seat. When a customer selects a seat, the ticket is immediately linked to the corresponding position on the seating chart, including the row, section, and seat number.

Because of this:

  • Tickets must be added one seat at a time.

  • The cart logic is based on seat reservations, not ticket quantities.

  • Allowing multi-ticket additions could cause double bookings or incorrect seat assignments.

💡 For Non-Reserved (General Admission) Events

If your event does not use a seating map, you can absolutely use the Multi-Ticket Selector.
It allows your customers to:

  • View all ticket types at once

  • Select multiple quantities

  • Add them all to the cart in one click
