By default, Evey will use the email address you have configured in your Shopify store for email notifications to send out ticket and custom attendee message emails. This email address will be visible as the "reply-to" email for all your event-related emails.
If you would like to update this email address, you can do so by following these steps:
1. Go to your Shopify store settings by clicking on "Settings" in the bottom left-hand corner of your Shopify admin.
2. Click on "Store details" on the left side.
3. Locate the "Profile" section and click on "Edit".
4. Look for the "Sender Email" field and update it with the email address you would like to use as the "reply-to" email for your event-related emails.
Note that this will only update the "reply-to" email address and not the "from" email address, as the latter is hard-coded into our app at the moment and cannot be changed.
Changing the Sender's Name and Email Address for Specific Events
Sometimes, you may want to use a different sender name and email address for a specific event than the default sender name and email address configured in your Shopify store. With Evey, you can easily customize the sender name and email address for individual events. Here's how to do it:
1. In the Evey app, select the event you want to edit.
2. Click on "Event Settings" in the top right corner of the screen.
3. To change the sender name, you can either modify the "Event Name" field, OR
4. Scroll down and look for the "Use different email address for customer emails than your store" option and enable it.
Once enabled, a new field labeled "Primary contact email for your event" will appear. Enter the email address you want to use as the sender's email address for this event. You can also specify a different sender name by using the format "Display Name <email@domain.com>" in this field.
5. Save your changes by clicking the "Save" button.
