At the moment, Evey does not support ticketless events. Tickets are a core part of how the app functions, from registration and attendee tracking to event access and check-in.
Why Ticketless Events Aren’t Supported
Tickets are essential for registration – They enable attendee forms, check-ins, and access control.
They ensure accurate tracking – Tickets help collect attendee data (like names and contact details), which is crucial for organizing, analyzing, and following up after the event.
They improve event security – Each ticket has a unique QR code that helps verify attendance and prevent unauthorized entry.
What You Can Do Instead
While a completely ticketless event isn’t possible, you can still offer free tickets if you don’t want to charge for entry.
Shopify counts all checkout items as "purchases," even if they’re $0. To avoid processing fees on free tickets, you can manually add attendees with $0 tickets (available on the Standard or Professional plans). These manually added tickets won’t be considered "sold" and won’t incur any fees. More details can be found here.
