Allow My Employee to Cancel a Check-In

Updated over 2 weeks ago

There may be times when canceling a check-in is necessary, whether it's due to an error checking in the wrong ticket or an attendee accidentally presenting a ticket intended for someone else.

Yes, canceling a check-in is possible, but you’ll first need to enable this feature in your event settings.

How to Allow Your Employee to Cancel a Check-In

  1. Go to the event in your Evey Events dashboard and click on “Event Settings.”

  2. On the “Event Settings” page, click the “Check-In” tab.

  3. Scroll down to each ticket type and enable “Allow check-in user to cancel / undo a previous check-in.”

  4. After enabling the option for all ticket types, click “Save.”

This is how it will look:

Before your employee checks in as an attendee, they will see the button in Green saying "Check-in."

After checking the attendee in, the button turns red and shows the option “Cancel check-in.”

Once “Cancel Check-in” is clicked, a notification will appear confirming the cancellation. The button will turn green again, allowing them to re-check the attendee in if needed.
