Preparing for Your Event with Evey Events & Tickets

The day of your event is fast approaching, and we want you to be ready! Here’s how to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

Step One: Create a Check-In Account

Before the day of your event, you'll need to create a check-in account for use with the Evey Check-In interface. This account is separate from your normal login credentials, and you can create as many accounts as needed for your event.

To create a check-in account, follow these steps:

  1. From the Evey app, go to ā€œSettings.ā€

  2. Click on the "Check-in accounts."

  3. Click the green ā€œAdd Userā€ button, fill out the email address for this account, and click ā€œSaveā€.

After saving, you'll receive an email to set up your password for the check-in account.

If you want to create a check-in account that you can use across all of your events, instead of just one, you can do so in the app settings by going to the ā€œCheck-In Accountsā€ page. From there, you can manage account access to individual events or all events.

For check-in accounts created in Event Settings, no additional options will appear. For global check-in accounts, you can choose which events the account has access to.

Step Two: Test the Check-In App

You’ll need a device with a camera capable of scanning QR codes and internet access. Most Android and iOS devices support this. Alternatively, you can download the official Evey Check-In app for either operating system.

To log into the app, use the login credentials you created in Step One.

If you'd like to use an external QR code scanner, we have a guide on supported hardware for the check-in app. Check it out here.

Once your device is ready, point the camera at one of the tickets generated by Evey. This will direct you to the check-in interface, or prompt you to open it in a web browser if you're not using the Evey app.

Step Three: Check In Your Attendees

Once you scan a ticket’s QR code and open the prompt in the web browser, you’ll be presented with the Check-In User interface.

  1. Fill in the credentials you set up in Step One.

  2. Click the green ā€œCheck-Inā€ button to mark your attendee as checked in.

Now you’re ready for the big day! We hope your event is the best one yet!
