You can set specific rules for different ticket types through "Ticket Type Settings" under "Check-In" in "Event Settings." For example, you can set three different rule types per ticket type, as seen in the screenshot below. All rule types will return an error in the check-in app if the ticket that is trying to be used violates one of the rules.
The first rule type is setting a specific date/time to allow check-in before, after, or both. This means if you don't want somebody to be able to use their ticket until before/after or only during a specific window, you can set the date/time rule here to limit check-in times.
The second rule type is setting how many times a ticket can be used to enter an event. This one is a simple rule type but is especially useful for events with ticket types that allow multiple entrances to a long-running event (such as a theme park or museum).
The third rule type allows you to set the ticket type to expire after several days. This setting is great if you are selling tickets you want to be used within a specific time frame from purchase. For example, you can set this value in days, as shown in the screenshot below.
On this page, you will also see the option to allow or not allow check-in users to undo check-ins. This means that if enabled, check-in users can undo check-in for already used tickets by scanning them again and canceling check-in. If you want to disable this feature, you can uncheck the box that says, "Allow check-in user to cancel/undo a previous check-in."
