Check-In: Ticket Type Settings

Updated over a week ago

You can set specific check-in rules for each ticket type under Event SettingsCheck-InTicket Type Settings.

These rules help control how and when tickets can be used during check-in. If a ticket violates any of the rules you've set, the check-in app will return an error and prevent entry.

Available Rule Types

You can set up to three different rule types per ticket type:

1. Check-In Time Window

Set a specific date and time range when the ticket can be scanned.
Options include:

  • Allow before

  • Allow after

  • Allow only during a specific window

This is useful for timed-entry events or sessions with strict scheduling.

2. Number of Uses

Set how many times a ticket can be used for check-in.
Perfect for events where attendees may enter and exit multiple times, such as:

  • Multi-day passes

  • Theme parks

  • Museums

3. Ticket Expiry (in Days)

Set a ticket expiration period based on when the ticket was purchased.
Example: If set to 3 days, the ticket will no longer be valid for check-in after 3 days from the purchase date.

This is helpful for:

  • Limited-time offers

  • Rolling admission windows

Undo Check-Ins

You can also choose whether check-in users can undo a check-in by scanning a ticket again.

  • To allow this, keep the box checked for “Allow check-in user to cancel/undo a previous check-in.”

  • To prevent this, uncheck the box.

That’s it! With these ticket-type rules, you’ll have more control over check-ins at your event.
