Fix: “Check-in has been disabled by the event organizer for this ticket type” Error

Updated over a month ago

Seeing a message like “Check-in has been disabled by the event organizer for this ticket type”, even though your settings allow check-in? Don’t worry — here’s how to fix it:

  1. Open the Evey Events & Tickets app and open the event where you're experiencing the issue.

  2. Go to the Check-In tab in the event settings. This is where you manage how ticket scanning works.

  3. Review your list of ticket types or variants for the event. Each variant can have its own check-in rules. This is useful for multi-day events where tickets are valid only on specific days.
If check-in is disabled for a ticket, scanning it will show a warning instead of the check-in button.

  4. Click on the ticket type that’s showing the error and check for any restrictions that may be blocking check-in.

Pay special attention to the check-in timeframe settings.

  5. Adjust the check-in window if needed.
For example, allow scanning before or after the scheduled event time if necessary.

  6. Click Save, then refresh the page.

  7. Try scanning the ticket again in the Evey Check-In app.
✅ You should now see a green success banner.
