Sometimes, the “View in Evey Events” option does not appear when you click More actions on a Shopify order - even though the order contains valid Evey tickets.
This can be confusing, but in most cases nothing is broken, and your tickets and attendees are still fully accessible in Evey.
Why this happens
The “View in Evey Events” button is rendered by Shopify, not directly by Evey.
Shopify dynamically decides whether to show app actions on an order, and it can remove the button without warning based on things like:
Order permissions or visibility
Partial or restricted order data
App extension re-evaluation
Order state changes (for example, archived → unarchived)
Time-based access rules (older orders)
When Shopify decides an app action no longer qualifies, the button simply disappears:
❌ No error
❌ No warning
❌ No indication anything failed
Important:
Even if the button is missing:
Your tickets are still valid
Attendees are still recorded
The order still exists inside Evey
Common scenarios where this happens
The order is older than 60 days
The order was archived and later unarchived
Shopify refreshed or re-evaluated the order page
The event has a large number of attendees and data is still loading
Shopify temporarily removes the action after initially showing it
This behavior can vary between stores and even between orders in the same event.
How to access the order in Evey (manual workaround)
If “View in Evey Events” is missing, you can still open the order directly in Evey using the Shopify order ID.
Step 1: Copy the Shopify order ID
Open the order in Shopify
Look at the browser URL
Copy the numeric order ID
Example:
6490518388980
Step 2: Open the order directly in Evey
Paste the order ID into the link below, replacing the number after id=:
https://admin.shopify.com/store/YOUR-STORE/apps/evey-event-management/orders/?id=6490518388980&shop=YOUR-STORE.myshopify.com
✅ This opens the order inside Evey
✅ You can view attendees, ticket details, and processing logs
✅ Works even when the Shopify button is missing
What this means for your store
This is normal Shopify behavior
It is not an Evey bug
No data is lost
No action is required unless you want to view the order
If you frequently work with older orders, bookmarking the manual link format above can save time.
Still need help?
If the order does not load in Evey using the manual link, or if tickets appear missing inside Evey itself, reach out to Evey Support and include:
Your Shopify domain
The order number
The event name
