How to Bundle Products with Event Tickets

Updated yesterday

Evey Events & Tickets (Evey) users combine tickets and products strategically to boost average order value and create premium experiences.

This guide explains how to structure product-ticket combinations using existing Shopify and Evey tools.

Option 1: Create Product-Inclusive Ticket Types

One of the easiest ways to bundle is to make the product part of the event experience.

And instead of offering only General Admission, you can also create a bundled tier such as:

  • Dinner + Wine Bottle

  • Workshop + Materials Kit

  • Concert + Limited Edition Merch

  • Yoga Class + Self-Care Set

This method works well for premium or VIP experiences and does not require additional apps.

Option 2: Link Related Products on the Event Page

If you prefer to keep tickets and products separate, you can promote related products directly within your event description.

Add a section such as:

Recommended Add-Ons for This Event

Then link to a relevant Shopify collection. Enable the Open in new tab option when adding links.

This works especially well for:

  • Merchandise tied to an event

  • Limited product drops

  • Consumables related to tastings or workshops

  • Unlisted merchandise just for a specific event

Customers can add both tickets and products to their cart before checkout, increasing total order value.

Option 3: Use Complementary Products on the Ticket Product Page

Each Evey event is tied to a Shopify product. If your theme supports product recommendations, you can display complementary products directly on the event page.

Using the Shopify Search & Discovery app, you can manually select complementary products to display on your product page.

Examples:

  • Merchandise tied to an event

  • Related consumables

  • Accessories connected to the experience

This allows customers to add related products directly from the event page before checkout.

Option 4: Suggest Add-Ons After Purchase

You can also promote related products after ticket checkout using Shopify Email or automation tools.

Examples include:

  • “Complete your tasting with this bottle.”

  • “Add the workshop materials before the event.”

  • “Limited merch available for attendees only.”

Because ticket buyers are Shopify customers, you can segment and follow up easily.

This approach works well when:

  • Inventory is limited

  • Products ship separately

  • You want to extend revenue beyond ticket sales

Best Practices

  • Ensure products are in stock before promoting them as complementary.

  • Keep add-ons relevant to the event.

  • Avoid overwhelming the product page with too many recommendations.

  • Test your event page to confirm recommendations display properly in your theme.

Bundling works best when products feel connected to the experience, not randomly added.
