You can require your check-in staff to scan ticket QR codes instead of manually checking in attendees. This helps prevent tickets from being checked in without scanning.
Disable Manual Check-In
Open Evey Events & Tickets in your Shopify Admin.
Navigate to Settings → Check-In accounts.
Scroll to the Manual Check-In section.
Uncheck Allow check-in staff to manually check in tickets.
Click Save to apply your changes.
If a staff member attempts to check in a ticket manually while this setting is disabled, they'll see the following message:
"Scan required. Manual check-in is disabled for this store. Scan the ticket to check it in.
Important Things to Know
The checkbox is enabled by default. Unchecking it requires check-in staff to scan tickets instead of manually validating them.
Store-wide setting: This restriction applies to all events and check-in staff accounts in your store.
Admin-only control: Only store administrators can change this setting.
QR code scanning: Staff can still scan tickets normally.
No additional setup: Check-in staff only need the latest version of the Evey Check-In app.
