Overview
The Manage Claims page is the primary workspace for viewing, searching, and acting on claims in Evolve. It displays a sortable, filterable grid of claims with quick-access links for documents, reports, invoicing, and time tracking. This article covers every column in the grid, the search and filter bar, pagination, and the expanded document panel.
Search and Filter Bar
The search bar at the top of the Manage Claims page lets you locate specific claims quickly.
Search field dropdown — Select what you want to search by. Options include "Search All Primary Fields" (a broad search across multiple data points), "File # (Exact)" for a precise file number lookup, and field-specific options such as insured name, claim number, adjuster, or client. Choosing a specific field narrows the search and returns faster results on large claim sets.
Search text field — Enter your search term and click the Search button (or press Enter) to filter the grid. The results update to show only claims matching your criteria.
Show rows dropdown — Controls how many claims display per page (for example, 25, 50, 100). Increase this value if you prefer to scroll through a larger list rather than paginating.
Pagination — The top of the grid shows "Page X of Y" with a Next link to move through result pages. Use pagination in combination with the Show rows setting to navigate large claim portfolios efficiently.
Assign by ZIP | by Map — These two links open specialized assignment views. See Manage Claims — Assign by ZIP and by Map for details.
Column Reference
Each column in the Manage Claims grid serves a specific purpose. Here is a left-to-right reference:
File # — The Evolve file number, displayed as a clickable link that opens the claim detail view. Next to the file number, you may see several icons: an @ icon (indicates email correspondence exists), a $ icon (indicates financial data or billing activity), an UPLOAD link (opens the report upload dialog), and a REPORTS link (opens the reports view for the claim).
Claim # — The carrier's claim number or the insured's reference number. A Doc. Library link appears alongside, opening the claim's document repository where all uploaded files, reports, and correspondence are stored.
Received — The date the claim was received in Evolve.
Insured (Claimant) — The insured's name (or claimant name if different). A CONTACTS link opens the contacts panel, and an edit icon lets you quickly update the insured's information.
Client / Rep. — The carrier or client company name and the assigned representative. Link icons open the company and representative profiles.
Status / Due — The current claim status (for example, "Initial Contact," "Ready for Review," "1st Report") with the due date for the next action. Overdue statuses display in red for immediate visibility.
Time — A clock icon indicating whether time has been logged against this claim. Click it to view or add time entries.
Adjuster — The assigned adjuster's name with a link icon that opens the adjuster's profile.
Diary — A notes link that opens the claim's diary or note history. This provides quick access to all notes logged against the claim.
Invoice — Shows the invoice status for the claim with color-coded labels: "New" (no invoice yet), "Create" (ready to create an invoice), or "New Review" (invoice pending review). The color coding helps billing staff quickly identify claims at each stage of the invoicing workflow.
HOVER Capture — Displays the status of HOVER property measurement captures. Options include "Create Capture" (to initiate a new HOVER capture), "Pre-Approved," "Complete," and "View on HOVER" (link to the HOVER platform). See Manage Claims — HOVER Capture Column Workflow for the full HOVER workflow.
Expanded Claim View (Document Panel)
Clicking a claim row expands it to reveal a document-management panel below the claim summary. This panel shows all documents attached to the claim and provides tools for managing them:
Date — When the document was uploaded or created.
Description — The document file name, type, and an EDIT link for modifying metadata.
Map pin and folder icons — Quick access to location data and folder organization.
Bundle Docs — Combines selected documents into a single PDF package for delivery to the carrier or insured.
Size — File size of the document.
Add Docs / Add Media — Upload new documents or media (photos, videos) to the claim.
View All Files — Opens the complete document library for the claim.
Delete Report — Removes a report from the claim (trash icon).
Printed — Printer icon indicating whether the document has been printed.
Deliver — Email and delivery controls including an envelope icon, @ icon for email, and a checkmark confirming delivery.
Viewed — Shows "Yes" or "No" to indicate whether the recipient has opened the delivered document.
Tips
Use "File # (Exact)" search when you know the exact file number — it returns results instantly even on databases with hundreds of thousands of claims.
Color-coded Status / Due values are your first line of defense against overdue claims. Make it a habit to scan for red statuses at the start of each day.
The expanded document panel supports drag-and-drop uploads in most browsers. Drag files directly onto the panel to add them to the claim.
Bundle Docs is especially useful when a carrier requires all claim documents delivered as a single PDF. Select the documents you want to include and click Bundle Docs to generate the package.
