How to Email Reports

Updated this week

The Subscribe feature in Expressway Analytics lets you receive a report directly in your inbox on a schedule that works for you. Whether you want a daily snapshot, a weekly summary, or an update every period, you can set it up in just a few clicks—no need to save the report first.

Here’s how it works:

Subscribing to a Report

  1. Open the report you want to subscribe to in Analytics.

  2. Click the Subscribe button in the top right corner of the report.

  3. You’ll see one of two options:

    • Subscribe to report

    • Manage subscriptions (if you’ve already subscribed)

  4. Click Subscribe to report to open the subscription setup.

Setting Up Your Subscription

In the Subscribe to Report modal, you’ll be able to customize how and when you want to receive the report:

  • Frequency Dropdown:
Choose how often you’d like to receive the report:

    • Daily

    • Weekly: Select the day of the week (e.g., every Monday).

    • Every period: Select a specific day of the period (Day 1, Day 15, Last Day, etc.).

  • Additional Recipients:
Want others to receive the report too?

    • Start typing to search for teammates within your company by name.

    • You can also type and enter any email address manually.

    • Once added, you can continue typing to add more.

Handling Unsaved Changes

If you’ve made changes to the report—like applying filters, changing columns, or adjusting the date range—you’ll be asked how you want to proceed.

You’ll see a "Save Changes?" dialog with this message:
“You’ve made some changes to this report that haven’t been saved yet. If you’d like to keep them, we’ll create a personal copy and subscribe you to that updated version. If not, you’ll be subscribed to the original report.”

Choose from the following options:

  • Save & Subscribe:
Saves your version of the report as a personal copy and subscribes you to it. The copy will be named like this:
[Report Name] (Copy) or [Report Name] (Copy) 2, depending on how many copies exist.

  • Subscribe Without Changes:
Subscribes you to the original version of the report, ignoring any temporary changes you’ve made.

  • Cancel:
Closes the dialog and stops the subscription process.

Confirmation

Once you’ve subscribed, the button updates to show Subscribed, and you’ll see a quick message:
“Thanks for subscribing. We’ll email the report [frequency].”

Managing Subscriptions

If you're already subscribed to a report, click the Subscribe button again and select Manage subscriptions to make changes or unsubscribe.

The Subscribe feature makes it easy to stay on top of performance without needing to log in every day. Customize it to fit your workflow and keep the right people in the loop.
