How do I understand my D&I strategy?
How do I understand my D&I strategy?

After you've prioritized key areas of focus, Fair HQ will serve up your D&I strategy. This article explains our recommendations.

Updated over a week ago

We selected Fair HQ recommendations personally tailored to your priorities and level of D&I maturity. Each one will help you build equitable foundations across the business.

There are no quick fixes or easy answers when it comes to diversity and inclusion. Getting it right takes time. Every action you take, big or small, is another step forward on the journey. And all of these steps work together to create a much larger shift. It's all about incremental change, and you'll see the difference in the numbers over time.

You can find your recommendations in the Fair HQ app. Here's how to navigate them:

Recommendation Types

Our recommendations are laser-focused on specific actions to keep you on track. We've divided our recommendations into 6 categories of change:

  • Process - changes to the way things are done

  • Tool - devices to help you do things more fairly

  • Strategy - rethinking your broad direction to center D&I

  • Tip - suggestions to share with managers, leaders or the whole team to improve their procedures

  • Training - diversity and inclusion training that gets you results. All of our training tips are focused on long-lasting behavioral change with a proven impact

  • Document - it's important to anchor your changes with robust documentation. These recommendations guide you in creating internal documents that bolster D&I

Time Intensity Labels

Each recommendation includes a time label to give you a sense of the time commitment required to get set up. We recommend front-loading quick wins to get yourselves off to a flying start, but make sure to carve out time for the big tasks too!

  • The 'under an hour' recommendations can be implemented alongside the bigger changes easily - or you can get started with these to book some early successes.

  • Some recommendations take 'a few hours' to get started. Add these to the mix too!

  • The big structural changes tend to take 'a day or more' to set up β€” although they require more effort, they'll move you forward in leaps and bounds.

Tracking Progress in Fair HQ

Keep track of your plan of action by updating the status. Move the key recommendations you want to get started with into 'planned', and then 'in progress' once you kick them off!
